Hi! I'm Karissa
Originally from the midlands of South Carolina, I grew up having a love for creativity. From drawings and sculptures to Microsoft Paint masterpieces, expressing myself through visual art was one of my favorite things to do as a child.

In 2010, I started learning Adobe design software at the ATEC of Camden, SC. As my talents in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop grew, my charismatic teacher, Walker Canada entered me in the Graphic Arts Education Research Foundation National Student Design Contest. I ended up placing 3rd in the nation. I was awarded $1,000 and my design was displayed at a graphics expo in Chicago. Winning the competition encouraged me to recognize the gift that I truly had and pursue a career in design.
From there, I attended Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. I was very involved on campus as I held graphic design positions for several organizations like DiGorgio Student Union, Roddey McMillan Record, and WU Visible. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Integrated Marketing Communication with a minor in Visual Design Studies in 2018.

Fast forward to today and you'll see that this imaginative kid now has a career in helping business turn their branding and marketing dreams into reality. From designing for small startups to being employed with legendary corporations, I have had the pleasure of having a diverse background in this industry. I'm looking forward to creating more designs and making even more connections in the years to come!
